SSL Certificate Browser Recognition
|
|
For a customers browser to recognize your SSL
Certificate it must have been issued by a Certification
Authority (CA) recognized by their browser. Certification
Authorities achieve recognition by having their Root CA Certificate
installed in browsers such as Internet Explorer and Netscape.
We strongly recommend that you opt for an SSL Provider with 99% or above browser ubiquity,
a 10% difference in browser ubiquity is equal to millions of Internet users who may not
recognize your Certificate.
There currently are about 700 million Internet users. If your SSL Certificate only has a 90% browser ubiquity then 70 million users will not recognize you. Can you afford not to be recognized by 70 million users?
